I am so MOTIVATED by SHOES!!

Every time I see a pair of shoes that attracts me I envision the outfit, the occasion, and the weather. I wonder am I the only one that does that. Well anyway I came up on a couple of pairs that have different purposes. Just wanted to share!! Which brings me to a quote I saw earlier today "A WOMAN NEEDS 5 THINGS: ATTENTION, COMPLIMENTS, LOVE, GREAT SEX, AND A FLY PAIR OF SHOES!!!" Amen to that!

Tom Ford $5200

I love thigh high socks but this pair is $80 which is ridiculous!

Go Gurl It's Ya Birthday!! Open Wide, I know Ya Thirsty!! Say AHHH!!!

Yep that's right I just celebrated my 26th Birthday :-D LOL I had a ball bringing in my BDAY!! I was so happy to see all of my friends and some family come out and celebrate with me!! It was ALMOST better than last year when I went to Jamaica!! I had to keep the Jamaican theme going this year which is why I chose Ja'Grill! Music and Rum Punch were ON POINT! EVERYBODY that had a RUM PUNCH that night had a GOOD TIME :-D Including the BIRTHDAY GIRL!!! I have to admit the best part of my birthday was getting my NAILZ DID! I specifically wrote down exactly what I wanted on each finger. It came out even better than I expected. Astrowifey HOOKED A SISTA UP!! Sooo since I'm celebrating my BIRTHDAY all month long, I'm going to go all out for my next nail appointment and I cant wait!

Patiently Anticipating (Warmer Temps)

Currently suffering from insomnia :-/ Figured I might as well blog about all the items I'm looking forward to shop for and wear when the weather permits. This year I want to dress more feminine at work and when I'm out on the town. I've purchased several mini/bandage skirts but what I really need is more dresses. I'm over the maxi dress for this year and I hope other women follow suit because I'm tired of seeing them. I also love the length of the below the knee pencil skirt. It makes me think of the vintage pin up look. Hopefully I will be able to duplicate some of these designs when I get more familiar with sewing!

I think this would be perfect for my shape!
The neckline is my favorite part of this dress, reminds me of a corset!
If this was left in my size I would've ordered it by now. I'm so in love with the color and the length!
This will be a popular style this summer!
Accordion pleats give this a real soft look!
Another assymetrical cut, loving the length!
This skirt would really compliment a denim shirt!
I definitely need more red in my wardrobe. This would also look nice with a denim shirt!
This would be the perfect jacket for spring and summer. Luckily its 100% cotton so the sleeves can easily roll up!

It's been a long time coming but Spring has arrived (MAYBE)

So it's the end of March but unfortunately it doesn't feel like it when you step outside. Nope it's not just Chicago, everywhere else in the country is experiencing cold weather. Pretty much sucks right now but I'm thinking happy thoughts about warm weather!!! At first I felt kinda silly for buying a wool coat at the very end of the season but it's definitely served its purpose thus far. Bought some super cute buttons for it too!!

Akira shoe store has recently gave me life with some of their recent shoe additions. Spring season also means it time for ballet flats!!
This boot is just SICK!!! I wish I could remember who the designer is :-(
Sam Edelman- The hardware on the heel is ridiculous in a very good way!
Wedges always put me in a trance! I believe these are Qupid Luxe
Cant go wrong with nude and black!
Leopard is always in style *when its done in moderation*LOL
Sam Edelman cheetah oxford @ Nordstom Rack
Since spring and summer temps are approaching, the only thing on my mind has been short shorts. Yes I have chicken legs but for some odd reason I feel so feminine in shorts. I still wear them in the winter. It's just like wearing a skirt with pantyhose LOL

Boyfriend shorts with lace panty hose and vintage boots!
Wore this 2yrs ago in Nov

Picked up this pair of shorts last week and cant wait to wear them with my tribute to Grace Jones tee (the high low length is popular right now). Courtesy of Dimepiece Designs

Spring/ Summer Shoe Wish List and a few other Miscellaneous Things

Although its about -10 degrees outside I cant help but think about what shoes I want to accessorize my feet with! I'm also considering some sewing projects this year. If all goes well I will be purchasing a sewing machine very soon. Wonder how much money I could save by making my own clothes ;-D

Got my eye on the butterscotch and neon pink ones (Colin Stuart-Victoria's Secret)
Now I currently cannot afford these precious Louboutins but they're so pretty to look at and gaze over!

Its a long time coming but I really need a pair of red pumps and I just love the straps on these! (Spring Shoes)
I could use these to replace my reTIRED looking black gladiators, (Spring Shoes)
The combo of pink and purple just looks like heaven to me! (Diva Shoes)
This is an item I'm gonna purchase from HK, I'm def gonna wear it often this spring and summer!!!

American Apparel Nylon Tricot Leggings
I think these are sooo super dope, I LUV gradient lenses! Vintage Chanel knockoffs from Girl Props!

GlamGuns and Makeup!!!

So I finally played in my new makeup and I loved everything I purchased! I don't like spending a lot of money on makeup so I'm very comfortable with trying out drugstore brands. Occasionally I use the cheap stuff from the beauty supply but if I find a good deal on the department store brands I will try them out as well.
And here is what I looked like. Keep in mind that this is trial and error I will in no way, shape, or form profess to be a makeup artist or anything close to it :-)

In other "on goings" or "goings on",I've been on this kick about getting my FOID card so I can purchase my own gun and go to the range and fire off a few rounds. I might even have a few pics of some JERKS from my past to use as target practice LBVS! Check these babies out!!!

Don't think it's for sale but you can pay to have a gun look like this.
Pink Elektra 9mm by STI retails for over $1000
Pink 9mm Sig Mosquito

I do not condone violence of any kind, but it is rough out here on these streets of Chicago. Remember, "Guns don't kill people. People kill people" Gotta be prepared and on guard at all times. That's why I keep a mean mugg on my face so people will know that I DON'T PLAY!!! LBVS

Night Out Makeup Routine

Ok its Jan 14 and MLK weekend which means tons of parties going on. I wanna go out REALLY BAD! LOL I want to hear some TRAP music!! Gucci Mane, Lil Wayne, Waka Flocka, and Rick Ross!!! I need to hear the ghetto stuff every now and then! Which brings me to thinking about why by the end of the night when I'm partying do I look like I have chicken grease all over my face! It's like I never put on any powder. When I apply my "night time" makeup I start out by wiping my face with alcohol. Applying concealer to my eyes to disguise my dark circles, then applying pressed powder all over with a kabuki brush, brow liner, blush (Iman), eyeshadow(mostly L.A. Color), and lastly mascara (Bad Gal Lash). I know that if I want a more professional makeup look then I need to consult a professional. I actually gave this lady from Clinique a chance and I was not pleased. Nothing looked good on me even the blush was too much. I was embarrassed to keep it on but since I don't like hurting people's feelings I told her I liked it. I realized that she did her best considering her age. But this time around I will consult with one of my peers. My fave look is neutral with a little color on the eyes and lips. I'm trying to be more risky with the colors and I want the colors to pop out. My BFF just told me about a product called Loreal Decrease. Its an eyeshadow base that prevents creasing or fading for up to eight hours. So yes I will be popping into Walgreen's to try this out.

$7.99 at Ulta

Sooo my mission is to pick up a few cosmetics over the weekend to find out what other colors compliment me. Cant wait to find a cure to the greasiness and play in some makeup. Pics will be posted very soon!!
